- Demonstrate an understanding of technological systems (e.g. for print, graphics, audio, video).
- Demonstrate use of software to access, organize, create, and communicate information.
- Identify issues and problems in technology and related areas, and begin to develop strategies for solving these problems individually and in a group.
- Apply basic principles of instructional design to produce resources for specified learning objectives.
- Create a quality product for print and web environments demonstrating the ability to:
- understand the attributes of a quality product and including message and screen design
- design, develop and present a quality product for a specific audience
- evaluate both the product and process
- Critically understand communications in individual and complex formats and, in turn, communicates in appropriate formats to convey one's message
- Functions as an effective contributor to a group and the larger class
- Understand, observes, and is prepared to address intellectual freedom, intellectual property rights, privacy, and security of students and resources
- Model and encourage instructional strategies that enhance higher level thinking skills for students
